As demand for Modern Heritage styling continues to grow, Kömmerling is supporting installers with its vertical slider (VS) system, designed to combine traditional aesthetics with modern performance.
Gareth Parton, Sales and Marketing Director at Kömmerling, said heritage-style windows are increasingly popular across both traditional and contemporary properties, particularly among more discerning homeowners.
He said: “Heritage windows are proving incredibly popular in both traditional and modern properties, but often the homeowners buying them are particularly discerning, which is why we have invested in making sure we can deliver the whole package where vertical sliders are concerned.
“The Kömmerling VS system offers characterful aesthetics, energy efficiency and security, alongside a technically advanced design and sustainability credentials, all at a competitive price point.”
The system features galvanised steel reinforcement within the sash, providing structural strength and secure fixing points for hardware. Caldwell spiral balances are used as standard to support consistent window operation.
Optional Graf welding is available to achieve a smooth finish, while traditional design features include run-through sash horns and sculpted astragal bars. Additional options such as a deep bottom rail and dual sliding sashes allow installers to tailor the system to different project requirements.
The Kömmerling VS system can achieve a Window Energy Rating of ‘A’ with double glazing and is available in a wide range of colour options, as well as multiple configurations to suit both modern and period properties.
Parton added that installers are under pressure to maximise opportunities in a challenging market and need flexible product solutions that can meet a wide range of project demands.
He said the system is supported by sustainability initiatives including the use of calcium zinc-based stabilisers and participation in a closed-loop recycling scheme for PVC-U products.
