Forterro Acquires Klaes

Forterro has announced its intention to acquire software specialist Klaes, further expanding its presence in the window and door sector.

The move follows Forterro’s recent acquisitions of Orgadata and BM Group and brings together software expertise across aluminium, PVC and timber, strengthening its position across multiple materials.

Founded in 1983, Klaes develops software solutions for windows, doors, façades and conservatories, with products supporting areas including enterprise resource planning, production control and 3D design. The company operates internationally and supports manufacturers of varying sizes.

Miriam Berzen, Managing Director at Klaes, said: “Joining Forterro marks an exciting new chapter for Klaes. For more than four decades, our mission has been to develop innovative and reliable solutions that help manufacturers in the window and door industry stay competitive and prepared for the future.”

The acquisition forms part of Forterro’s wider strategy to provide software solutions across the full production process, from configuration and calculation through to manufacturing and installation. By combining capabilities across different materials, the group aims to support more integrated workflows and operational efficiency.

Forterro also confirmed plans to invest further in cloud-based platforms and AI-driven technologies, with the aim of supporting digital transformation across both manufacturing and trade businesses.

Dean Forbes, CEO of Forterro, said: “With Orgadata, the BM Group and now Klaes under one roof, Forterro supports all key materials and production processes in the sector. Through intelligent, increasingly AI-powered solutions, we enable manufacturers to digitalise their processes faster and more effectively.”

Klaes will continue to operate as an independent brand within Forterro’s Windows & Doors business unit. The transaction remains subject to regulatory approval.
