Reynaers Aluminium has introduced an update to its DigiTrace digital product passports, enabling fabricators to incorporate their own branding on labels affixed directly to aluminium windows, doors and curtain walling systems.
The latest update allows fabricators to add their branding to element-specific QR code labels applied to each product. When scanned, the labels provide access to a digital product passport containing system data including glazing specifications and component details, supporting improved traceability throughout the supply chain.
The information can support U-value calculations, sustainability assessments and material identification. The update also includes the option to display the CE Mark logo on labels linked to digital passports featuring a digital CE declaration.
By scanning the QR code, users can access performance, material and sustainability data linked to specific products. Reynaers Aluminium said the system supports the ‘golden thread’ of information across the lifecycle of a building.
Designed to improve transparency from manufacture through to end use, DigiTrace enables building owners, installers, architects and contractors to access technical and performance data throughout the lifetime of the installed system.
Martin Boland, Technical Support Manager at Reynaers Aluminium UK, said: “Reynaers is committed to supporting its fabricator partners, and this latest DigiTrace update is all about giving them greater visibility while strengthening traceability across the supply chain.”
Boland explained that DigiTrace was originally developed to allow fabricators to upload documentation and certification which could then be accessed by stakeholders across a project. He added that the latest update allows fabricator branding to remain visible at the point of installation and beyond while supporting product identification and traceability.
Product and technical data is exported directly from ReynaPro, Reynaers’ calculation, ordering and production software. Additional documentation including Environmental Product Declarations, maintenance guides, warranties and installation instructions can also be uploaded throughout the product lifecycle.
