Glazpart has announced that the British Fenestration Rating Council (BFRC) has joined its Glazpartners initiative.

BFRC is recognised for verifying the energy performance of windows and doors and was originally established to develop the UK’s window energy rating system. The organisation now works with businesses and organisations across the fenestration sector to support performance standards, certification and energy efficiency.

Led by Managing Director Richard Sellman, BFRC provides a range of services including CWCT testing, barrier testing, IGU evaluation, U-value calculations, energy rating certification and weather rig testing.

Commenting on the partnership, Richard Sellman, Managing Director at BFRC, said: “At BFRC, collaboration is key to the success of what we do and with that in mind, we’re delighted to become a Technical Glazpartner and support this unique initiative to support its customers.”

Sellman added that with legislation and scrutiny increasing across construction, businesses need access to reliable information and technical support. He said BFRC had continued to develop its services to support the window and door sectors through testing and certification.

Dean Bradley, Sales Director at Glazpart, said: “We are delighted that BFRC has joined Glazpartners. BFRC are pioneers of window energy ratings and product standards with an industry wide reputation for delivering first class testing and certification.”

Bradley said both organisations shared a focus on helping companies comply with regulations and supporting best practice across the industry. He also confirmed BFRC would participate in future Glazpartners events, including PiGs Talking Shop in Bristol.

The Glazpartners programme provides participating companies with promotional opportunities including joint media activity, trade event branding, newsletters and industry networking events.
