AluFold Expands Into uPVC

AluFold Windows has introduced uPVC alongside its aluminium offer, expanding its supply model to support installers facing increasing pricing and delivery pressures.

The Blackburn-based fabricator said the move reflects changing market conditions, where project decisions are influenced by cost, availability and timelines as much as design preference. By offering both aluminium and uPVC within a single supply model, AluFold aims to reduce the need for installers to manage multiple suppliers.

The expansion is supported by Leicester-based Unique Window Systems and a partnership with Eurocell. A dedicated uPVC production facility has been established within AluFold’s 70,000 sq ft site at Whitebirk Industrial Estate.

The new line includes a BDM cutting and machining centre with capacity to process up to 800 windows per week, alongside quad welders, CNC corner cleaners and CNC beading equipment. AluFold said its production team has been trained to operate across both aluminium and uPVC systems.

Neal Addison, Managing Director at AluFold Windows, said aluminium remains central to the business, but the addition of uPVC reflects how customers are operating in the current market.

Karl Williams, who joined the company earlier this year to lead the integration, brings experience across production, operations and quality control. He said the structure of the new facility is designed to give customers greater confidence when pricing and planning projects.

AluFold Windows said it will continue to operate its supply-only fabrication model, now supporting trade customers across both aluminium and uPVC from its Lancashire base.
