CNC Investment Boosts Production

Aluminium Doors and Windows Ltd has increased manufacturing performance by 30% following investment in a new Kombimatec AMC328 CNC machining centre, supporting greater efficiency, consistency and capacity as demand continues to rise.

With more than 15 years’ experience delivering residential and commercial projects across the South East and East Anglia, the business has steadily expanded its in-house manufacturing capability to provide a fully integrated service from design through to installation.

Mario Lopata, Managing Director at Aluminium Doors and Windows Ltd, said: “By bringing manufacturing in-house, we’re able to offer a complete solution – from design through to installation – with full accountability and consistency.”

As production volumes and project complexity increased, the limitations of manual machining became more apparent. Lopata explained that the business needed to improve both speed and precision, with CNC technology offering a way to reduce errors, minimise waste and increase output while allowing the team to focus on higher-value tasks.

Installed in March, the AMC328 CNC machining centre supports the fabrication of aluminium windows, doors and curtain walling systems. Its automated functionality and user-friendly interface enabled rapid integration into production with minimal disruption.

Lopata said the impact was immediate, with improved workflow efficiency and reduced reliance on manual processes. The machine’s precision and repeatability have also helped standardise production across bespoke residential and complex commercial projects, improving quality control and reducing downstream installation issues.

“It’s sped up our process by 30% while reducing mistakes and material waste,” he added.

The investment forms part of a wider strategy to scale manufacturing capability and build a more resilient operation. Lopata confirmed that the company is already evaluating further machinery investment to enhance efficiency and quality.

Kombimatec was selected as a machinery partner based on its technical support, training and transparent approach, which helped ensure a smooth transition to CNC-led production.
