ISO Chemie has introduced its Hybratec range of hybrid window joint tapes, designed to improve sealing performance and support energy-efficient construction.
Andy Swift, Sales and Operations Director at ISO Chemie, said expanding foam tapes offer a reliable solution for weather sealing due to their ability to expand and contract, helping to maintain consistent seals where wet solutions may fall short.
The Hybratec range builds on this approach by combining multiple sealing functions into a single product. It delivers three-level airtight sealing aligned with RAL energy performance standards and resistance to driving rain up to 1200 pascals, compared to the UK benchmark of 600 pascals.
The system incorporates a dual vapour barrier and replaces traditional multi-product sealing methods, such as airtight tapes, spray foam and expanding tapes, with a single application. Acoustic sealing is also included as part of the design.
Hybratec is developed to support thermal efficiency by reducing uncontrolled heat loss and draughts at the window-to-wall interface. It is also designed to accommodate movement and expansion in both new build and retrofit applications.
The product has achieved Certified Passive House Component status from the Passivhaus Institute, supporting its use in low-energy construction projects requiring high levels of airtightness.
ISO Chemie confirmed the Hybratec range is available from UK stock to support demand from installers and specifiers.
