Freefoam Building Products has acquired Marley Alutec from the Aliaxis Group, strengthening its position in the building products sector and expanding its portfolio into specialist aluminium rainwater systems.
Following the acquisition, Marley Alutec will trade as Alutec Rainwater Systems. The transaction marks the beginning of a new chapter for one of the UK’s leading aluminium rainwater system specialists and brings together Freefoam’s building product expertise with Alutec’s established reputation for quality, technical knowledge and customer service.
Freefoam intends to support Alutec’s continued development through investment in people, systems, product development and market expansion. Alutec customers will experience complete continuity of service: the existing Alutec team will remain in place and continue to provide the technical support, project expertise and customer service for which the business is known.
Aidan Harte, CEO of Freefoam Building Products, said:
“Alutec is a highly respected business with an outstanding reputation, high quality products and a talented and experienced team. The acquisition is an excellent strategic fit for Freefoam and broadens our presence within the building products sector. We see significant opportunities to invest in the business and support its future development.”
Phil Whomes, Sales & Marketing Director, Alutec Rainwater Systems, said:
“This acquisition is a very positive development for our business, our customers and our employees. Becoming part of the Freefoam Group gives us the platform to accelerate our growth ambitions through investment in people, systems and market development, while maintaining the expertise and customer focus that have been central to our success.”
The acquisition reflects Freefoam’s confidence in the future of the aluminium rainwater sector and its commitment to investing in market-leading brands that combine product quality, technical expertise and exceptional customer service.
