After delivering windows and doors to its homeowner customers for almost 20 years, Dorset Windows credits strong partnerships with suppliers like Framexpress for its continued success.
Founded in 2006, the Three Legged Cross-based company has established itself as a reliable installation company over the past two decades, delivering on its ethos of providing high-quality products and services, while continuously exceeding its customers’ expectations.
Having a network of strong partnerships with external suppliers, such as Framexpress, has been critical in Dorset Windows achieving this continuity for its customers, and Directors Kath and Martin Pumfrey firmly believe in harnessing that synergy for lasting success.
“We are all about continuity, and working with people for the long-term, because we think that gives our customers a better experience. So that was always the aim. We said that if we can find a good fabricator, we want to stay there,” Kath says of their approach to external partnerships.
After facing various quality issues with previous suppliers, Dorset Windows began working with the Framexpress team in 2016. Initially buying in composite doors, the leading trade fabricator later became Dorset Windows’ sole PVCu and composite window and door fabricator after showcasing its ability to out-perform the competition.
“When we made the decision to move suppliers, we met with Stuart and Dave and spent some time at the factory. After meeting the team, and having a look around, you could see the quality of the operation. At first glance, we were interested in the company, but after working with them for some time, it comes down to the fact that everyone listens. They all work together to make sure we have what we need – and we’re on the same wavelength in that respect,” Kath adds.
“You can tell they are in it for the long-term, like we’re in it for the long-term. They’re not just there to provide us with a service, they provide stability and consistency, on top of providing great products – and that’s the key.”
She continues, “You want the best price, but at the same time, there’s a bigger picture than that – which consists of the high-quality products and service we get from Framexpress. The real value lies in being able to provide the whole package, and that’s what we pitch to our customers too. Having that shared ethos with Framexpress is what helps us provide a good service and products to our customers, and is in turn, what helps us all grow.”
