Our Journey: From Humble Beginnings
Bloomsbury Glass Ltd was founded in 2004 by my father, Dave Rama, and his brother, Jas Rama. Their vision was clear from the start: to provide high-quality glass products with unparalleled customer care. Starting from a modest factory, their dedication to excellence and customer satisfaction quickly set us apart.
Over the years, our vision has not only endured but has flourished, propelling us to new heights and accomplishments. As a family-run business, we have always valued strong relationships with our team members, customers, and partners. This close-knit approach has been instrumental in shaping our culture and fostering long-term success.
Our Growth and Expansion
Our company has experienced significant growth and expansion over the years. We moved our factory twice, initially from a 6,000-square-foot space to a 60,000-square-foot facility. This strategic move allowed us to scale up our production capabilities, invest in advanced technologies, and offer a broader range of services and products to our customers. We began our journey hand delivering glass around the West Midlands, and are now proud to service the country with daily deliveries over 150 miles from our base in our signature bright-yellow fleet of vehicles.
This expansion also enabled us to pursue innovation. By supplying the latest glass technology and embracing cutting-edge methodologies, we have consistently pushed the boundaries of what is possible. Our commitment to innovation keeps us ahead of the curve and empowers us to meet the evolving needs of our customers in an ever-changing landscape.
The Next Generation
As we celebrate this significant milestone, I want to take a moment to introduce myself, Dr Indy Rama and my brother Jeevan Rama. Our backgrounds in medicine and accounting bring fresh perspectives and a deep commitment to quality and customer care. Jeevan and I are excited to lead Bloomsbury Glass Ltd into the future by embracing Industry 4.0 and the next wave of technological advancements. We are dedicated to investing in new technologies that will enhance our production processes, increase efficiency, and further elevate our quality standards. We see automation and artificial intelligence as key drivers of our future plans.
