New Makita Product Innovations
Adding to its already wide range of tools, Makita has launched a wave of new products with several ideal for window, door and glazing contractors.
The new DHR182ZJ Brushless Rotary Hammer features three operating modes – Rotary only, Hammer only and Rotation with Hammer. It has a variable speed trigger, constant speed control and forward and reverse rotation.
The tool also helps users to work more safely by minimising the hazards of vibration and dust as it includes Makita’s anti-vibration technology and new Auto-Start Wireless System, which links it with compatible dust extractors via Bluetooth. The machine can also be fitted with the DX05 on-board dust extraction attachment.
Also added is the DLS211ZU high-power 305mm Brushless Slide Compound Mitre Saw and the DHS783ZJU 190mm Brushless Circular Saw. Both include Automatic Torque Drive Technology that automatically adjusts the saw’s cutting speed according to the load conditions for optimum performance. They also feature the AWS Bluetooth system for simple dust extraction.
The brushless motors included in all three tools are more efficient and produce more torque per weight compared with the equivalent brushed motor. This means less power is required to achieve the same result and therefore extending run times by between 30% and 50% on each battery charge.
Makita’s LXT 18v lithium-ion batteries offer excellent run times and with the Makita intelligent charging system they achieve some industry leading charge times.
With a ‘one-fits-all’ system, the batteries can be used on over 200 different LXT products. This allows users to swap the battery between the tools as needed depending on the task.
