Grosvenor Provides Complete Recycled Solution for Macclesfield HA
Long-standing Veka fabricator Grosvenor Windows has removed, recycled and replaced 160 windows for a respected Macclesfield housing association.
Working with the group, Grosvenor was not only able to recycle the old frames, but also install high quality recycled systems into Arcon’s Fir Court development.
Dominic Mills explained: “We’ve worked with Arcon Housing Association a number of times before. They know the quality of our work is top notch – both fabrication and installation - and that the systems we provide meet all the relevant specification requirements. For this project, we used Veka’s Infinity recycled system which the client was very impressed with. It has a core of up to 80% recycled PVC-u and then just a skin of virgin polymer to ensure it looks exactly like new. This means it has all the same benefits as brand ‘new’ frames when it comes to style, weather performance, security, energy efficiency etc – but it also ticks a very important box for sustainability.
“Our reputation is incredibly important to us and we’re pleased to have completed another project in time and on budget for Arcon, with minimal disturbance for residents, as well as having championed the benefits of Veka’s closed-loop recycling system. Arcon’s Building Surveyor David Hutchinson said: “The windows that have been fitted are excellent quality and provide our tenants with aesthetically pleasing windows and warmer more efficient homes from an energy point of view.”
